Mother's Day
Jamie planned a picnic for us in the park by the arch. It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time doing bubbles and feeding the geese. Lainey wasn't so sure about this at first, but was chasing them by the time we were finished.
We have been teaching Lainey about feelings by having her make faces that express various emotions. So far she has mastered a silly, happy, sad, mad and a smart face (pictured above). It's pretty cute but the sad face will melt your heart...complete with the big blue eyes and pouty lip.
We love our neighborhood because it is so family friendly. At any given moment there are kids playing kick ball in the cul-de-sac, riding bikes, or playing tag. Lainey loves playing with them and would spend every waking moment out in the front yard if it were possible. This day we did sidewalk chalk and bubbles. So much fun.
