Get In, Sit Down, Buckle Up, and Hang On

I am reminded of those fearful yet thrilling words...."Welcome, please make sure you are securely fastened in your seat and remember to keep your hands and feet inside the car....Enjoy the ride" I can remember feeling as though my life could possibly end this very moment as I and many others enjoyed the seemingly large roller coaster at World's of Fun. The worse part of the whole ordeal was the slow "jerky", "clanky", ascension to top of that first peak. Then it seems as though you drop off into oblivion. Even though your stomach was left at the top it soon catches up with you and are able to enjoy the ride of your life.

If everything goes as planned, Nikki and I will be embarking on the ride of our life on Thursday. We are currently ascending to the top of that peak. It seems as though the day will never come and I am sure that when it does come, I will be beside myself. But soon, thereafter, we will be able to enjoy the ride of our lives.

Little Lainey's Room

Shortly after Christmas, Nikki and I began working on the baby's room. To take advantage of the break I had from classes, we made it a goal to have it done before spring classes started. Well, five weeks into classes we are still making very minor improvements, but we did complete the bulk of the work when we expected. It is truly amazing to see an ordinary blah room being transformed into this cute little pink paradise. I wish I could take credit for the planning of such an extraordinary design, but my job is strictly execution. Any way here is the finished project and we'll keep you posted on the arrival of the baby. Something like five weeks and counting.
